NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION BECAUSE OF ELECTION EVE. THE PROGRAM WILL BE AT THE LEVY CENTER, 300 DODGE AVE IN EVANSTON.

Reporting Rare Birds: How to Do It and What’s in It for You.  Geoff Williamson, Secretary of the Illinois Ornithological Records Committee of Illinois Ornithological Society, asks: If you found a rare bird, would you look forward to or dread documenting it for eBird and for the state rare bird committee? This talk explains what the documentation process is and helps prepare birders for reporting rarities. Along the way it emphasizes not only why you should do it but also how you benefit from doing it. Come learn how you can contribute to the record of bird life in Illinois and improve your birding skills at the same time.
