Payment Processing Set-Up
To prepare for online sales, we need to set up Squarespace Payments so you can securely accept credit cards, Apple Pay, and other payment methods.
Because this process requires sensitive financial, tax, and personal identity information, Squarespace legally requires the account owner to input these details directly. As your developer, I am blocked from accessing or filling out this specific form for your security.
What you will need to gather:
Business Information: Your legal business name, physical address (Squarespace does not accept P.O. Boxes), and Tax ID/EIN (if applicable).
Personal Details: Your full legal name, date of birth, phone number, and Social Security Number (SSN) or equivalent government ID for identity verification.
Banking Details: Your bank routing and checking account numbers (or your online banking login) to connect your account for direct deposit payouts.

We have two easy options to get this done:
Option 1 (Recommended): We can jump on a brief 10-minute video call. I will share my screen to show you exactly where to go, and then I will pass the screen controls to you so you can securely type in your private information.
Option 2 (Self-Guided): You can log into your Squarespace dashboard independently. Go to Selling > Payments, click Turn on Squarespace Payments, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Timing: This should be done within a week or 2 before launch - mid-August? Hard to estimate as we need to discuss when I will get the remaining content for events, and any photos to use.
