Many people are calling the time we live in the "Anthropocene, " a time when humans have caused unprecedented modifications to our environment and natural resources, such as global warming, ocean acidification, habitat destruction, and species extinction. Humans have caused this modification at an unprecedented rate and scale.  The effect on birds has been profound, especially through window collisions.

Join Holly Greenberg, Director, Bird Collisions in the Anthropocene,  for this free environmental art project.  Craft a bird replica from upcycled fabrics and glue while learning about bird migration, window collision prevention and DIY solutions.

This is a drop- in event. Drop in any time between 4 and 6:30. Birds take about 30-40 minutes to complete. Your bird will become part of a large-scale 300-foot-long sculptural carpet of over 10,000 bird replicas.

An  Evanston  Earth Week event.
